Add some banana to a peanut butter and jam sandwich for extra nutrition. Use real unadulterated peanut butter.
|2 tbsp||strawberry jam|
|2 tbsp||peanut butter|
|2||slices Dempster's WholeGrain bread|
|sprinkle of allspice|
Mash or slice banana.
For each sandwich, on one slice spread peanut butter. On second slice spread jam. On one of the slices add banana and sprinkle with allspice. Turn over and marry the two pieces, slice and serve with a glass of milk for a filling nutritios snack or picnic item.
Use 100% peanuts peanut butter for a better taste. Most commercial "peanut butter" contains hydrogenated vegetable oil and corn maltodextrin as well as sugar. Unfortunately once you are using 100% peanuts, you cannot go back to the cheap stuff.
