This tasty lunch is packed with nutrition and fiber to support active learning and play throughout the afternoon to last until dinner.


1 Schneiders Original Juicy Jumbo hot dog
10 oz Baked beans in tomato sauce
1 portion of wrapped cheese
4 leaves of Boston Bib lettuce, washed and dried
.5 field tomato
1 Small cucumber or 1.5 inches of an English cucumber
3 Mini carrots
1 tbsp Minced parsely
2 tsp Apple cider vinegar
2 tsp Extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
.1 Apple or half large apple
1 Banana
8 oz 2% milk, cold


Bean Dish
Warm the baked beans to a simmer in a saucepan.

Set the hot dog on a plate in the microwave oven, wrapped with a sheet of paper towel and cook on the high setting for one and a half minutes.

Slice the hot dog into bite size pieces and mix into the hot beans.

Place into a serving bowl.

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Tear into bite sized pieces.
Place in a large bowl.

Cut the half tomato into bite sized pieces (8-10). Place into the bowl.

Slice the cucumber and place into the bowl.

Grate the mini carrots into the bowl.

Add the minced parsley.

Pour the vinegar and oil onto the salad.

Add salt and pepper to taste.

Toss well and place the salad into a serving bowl.

Place the cheese portion onto a serving plate alongside the bowl of beans.

Slice the washed and cored apple into wedges and place on the serving plate.

Add the banana for dessert.


Pour the milk into a glass.

Place the glass of milk with the meal.
