These scones are too die for, so good, great texture and amazing flavor.
Great addition to any brunch.
|1.75 cups||All purpose flour|
|2.75 tsp||Baking powder|
|1 tsp||Ground mustard|
|6 tbsp||Cold butter|
|0.25 cup||Shredded cheddar cheese|
|300 g||6 Strips of Maple Leaf Naturally Smoked Bacon|
Cook Bacon, crumble and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In a small bowl, whisk eggs and milk. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in the cheese and two-thirds of the bacon.
Transfer dough to a greased baking sheet. Pat into a 7-1/2-in. circle. Cut into eight wedges, but do not separate. Sprinkle with remaining bacon. Bake at 400° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
You can add onion if you like. You can also make this ahead and warm up when you want to serve it.
