Celebrate the holidays with these no fuss easy to make decadent dessert.


8 slices Schneiders® Bacon, diced
1 515gr devils food cake mix
1 450gr tub butter cream frosting
2 tbsp maple extract


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a muffin tin with cup cake inserts.

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Cook bacon until crisp, about 6 to 8 minutes. Reserve rendered bacon fat.

Prepare cake mix per package direction. Omit vegetable oil in packaged cake recipe and replace with rendered bacon fat.

Pour batter into prepared pan(s). Bake for 18 to 21 minutes or until an inserted toothpick come out clean. Cool cupcakes before frosting.
Stir maple extract into frosting. Frost each cup cake and garnish with bacon bits.
