Bacon Maple Chocolate Pecan Butter Tarts

About this Recipe

Bacon and Pecans make perfect mates in this sweet dessert recipe. Your guests will beg for the recipe!!

Ingredients

8 slices Schneiders® Bacon, diced
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup good quality maple syrup
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup pecans, toasted and roughly chopped
3/4 cup bakers dark chocolate
20 prepared tart shells

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together sugar, syrup, butter, eggs, and salt. Set aside. Divide the chocolate, nuts and bacon between each tart shell. Pour filling over top. Bake until pastry is set and golden brown about 20 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack. Keep in an air tight container at room temperature.
Garnish with additional bacon, assorted berries and whip cream.
