Tangy take on a traditional cheeseburger. Suggested serving with fries and your favorite beverage.


1 lb lean ground beef
pinch salt
ground pepper
4 thin slices of red onion
4 thick slices of tomato
1/4 cup prepared salsa
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
4 tsp sriracha hot pepper sauce
4 Dempster's Brioche buns
2 tsp sprinkle sesame seeds
egg white
4 slices process cheese
4 slices prepared bacon


Preheat grill.

Spread a little egg white on top of buns and sprinkle on sesame seeds.

Mix ground beef with a pinch of salt and some fresh ground pepper. Form into 4-6 patties depending on size of bun. I like thin patties because they cook faster through to the centre. Grill patties until internal temp is 160 degrees, about 8 minutes per side.

On the toasted bun build a tsp Sriracha sauce, grilled beef pattie, cheese, onion, tomato, a bacon slice cut in two, 1 tbsp salsa, 1 tbsp of cilantro, followed but the sesame seed top half of the bun.
