About this Recipe

This is not to everyones taste, but those that like it, love it.

1 lb Canadian Bacon
500 ml Pure Canadian Maple Syrup
1 Pkg Vanilla Ice Cream

Cook bacon slowly over low heat, Keep flipping and turning the bacon so that it browns evenly. I prefer my bacon on the crispy side for this recipe. Drain grease, pat dry, and let cool, dice and set aside. You may want to keep a few full length pieces of bacon for an added flare in the presentation.

Scoop ice cream into glass dishes, there are no rules here, go a big as you want, 2 scoops, 4 scoops. The key to making this recipe really work is to re-heat the bacon pieces just before you sprinkle it on the ice cream. I just microwave the bacon for 20-30 seconds, then sprinkle.

Lastly, pour a good helping of pure maple syrup on top, I prefer pure Canadian maple syrup, but any high quality maple syrup with work, just don't use regular syrup. yuk! If you want to get fancy, you can layer the ice cream and syrup.

Garnish with a full piece of bacon and quickly serve, you want your guests to enjoy it before the bacon cools.
