|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Paprika|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Mustard powder|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Salt|
|1/2 tsp||(2 mL) Pepper|
|1||(16 pieces) Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Chicken Wings|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Finely grated Asiago cheese|
|2||Green onion, finely chopped|
PREHEAT oven to 400°F (200°C).
PLACE bacon on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake until crisp, about 12-15 minutes. Place bacon on a paper towel lined plate. Chop when cool enough to handle. Drain the remaining drippings into a large bowl. Let cool slightly. Add paprika, mustard, salt and pepper. Toss with wings to coat.
ARRANGE the wings on a parchment paper lined baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 185°F (85°C). Remove from the oven and sprinkle with bacon and Asiago cheese. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese has melted and is slightly crisp at the edges, about 3-4 minutes. Garnish with green onion.
