Bacon & Habanero Cheese  Pork Chops

About this Recipe

This delicious entree is one of my family favourites. With its cheesy goodness and added bacon flavour it is a welcome treat.

Ingredients

4 Boneless Pork Chops
4 Strips of Bacon crisped and crushed
1 cup Bread Crumbs
2 tbsp Dried Rosemary
3 Cloves of Garlic slightly crushed
1 tsp Black ground pepper
1/2 cup Habanero Shredded Cheese or any other shredded cheese
Chopped green onions to garnish
Salt to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Combine breadcrumbs, garlic, rosemary, a little salt, and pepper, some of the bacon bits, a ¼ of the cheese & enough olive oil to make it stick to the pork chops.

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Dredge each pork chop in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure to press the pork chop nicely so it’s covered evenly. Set aside

Fry each pork chop so that it gets a nice crispy brown color. Do not over cook.

Place the pork chops in a greased baking sheet and add the remaining breadcrumb mixture if any.

Bake for 40 minutes or until done. Remove and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Return to oven and broil for 2 min or until the cheese is nicely melted.

Garnish with bacon bits and green onions. Serve with a side of Scalloped potatoes and a green salad.
