A tender and juicy chicken patty infused with bacon and topped with creamy avocado and fresh tomato.
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) Olive oil|
|1/2||Small onion, diced|
|1/4||Red pepper, diced|
|1||lb Maple Leaf Prime Naturally® Extra Lean Ground Chicken|
|2||Slices Maple Leaf® Bacon, finely chopped|
|1/4 cup||Bread crumbs|
|Salt and pepper to taste|
|3||D’Italiano™Crustini buns, split|
|1||Ripe avocado, sliced|
|1/4 cup||(60 mL) Mayonnaise|
PREHEAT BBQ to medium-high and lightly spray with non stick cooking spray.
HEAT oil in a skillet set over medium heat. Sauté onions, peppers and garlic until soft, about 5 to 6 minutes. Set aside to cool.
COMBINE chicken, bacon and sautéed onion
mixture in a large bowl. Add egg, bread
crumbs and salt and pepper. Mix together and shape into 3-4 patties.
GRILL patties for 5-6 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165˚F (74˚C). Place the crustini buns, cut side down on the grill and lightly toast.
SERVE burgers topped with tomato, avocado and mayonnaise.
Serve with an ice cold Pepsi® and Lay’s® potato chips!
