Ingredients

3 Cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup (125 mL) Mayonnaise
1 tbsp (15 mL) Chopped fresh herbs (rosemary, dill, thyme)

Directions

PANINI:
12 Spears asparagus, blanched
4 Dempster’s® Deluxe Sausage Buns
1 ½ cups (375 mL) Grated Mozzarella cheese
¼ cup (60 mL) Grated Asiago cheese
6 Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Smoked Uncured Black Forest Ham
4 tsp (20 mL) Dijon mustard
6 Slices Maple Leaf® Natural Selections® Oven Roasted Turkey Breast


COMBINE all ingredients for aioli and set aside.

PREHEAT panini press to 375°F (190°C). Assemble sandwiches by spreading the bottom of each bun with Dijon mustard. Sprinkle approximately 1/8 of both cheeses over mustard. Top with ham and turkey, three asparagus spears and remaining cheese. Spread the inside of the top bun with prepared aioli and place on sandwiches.

GRILL for 5-6 minutes until toasted and the cheese has melted.

Notes

Can also be made in a frypan with a heavy frypan placed on top of sandwiches as they cook.
