Apricot sweetened mustard and a crispy topping for this easy to prepare and delicious ham dish.
|1||Schneiders® Deli Best® Smoked Black Forest Ham|
|1/2 cup||(125 mL) Apricot jam|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) French’s® Dijon mustard|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Panko breadcrumbs|
|1/3 cup||(80 mL) Ground almonds|
|3 tbsp||(45 mL) Chopped fresh herbs (chives, thyme, parsley)|
|2 tbsp||(30 mL) Melted butter|
PREHEAT oven to 375°F (190°C).
WHISK together jam and mustard in a small bowl. Combine panko, almonds, herbs and butter in another small bowl. Set aside.
SLICE ham into 6 steaks about ¾” (2 cm) in thickness. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each one liberally with the jam and mustard mixture. Sprinkle each with panko and almond mixture. Bake in preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with your favourite sides.
