About this Recipe

This tart yet sweet glaze makes these chicken drumsticks irresistible.

8 skinless chicken legs
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp butter
3 cups apple cider
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
4 sprigs fresh thyme

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Brown chicken legs until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and keep warm. In the same pan add butter and flour. Stir for 1 to 2 minutes. Slowly add in apple cider, while whisking. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes until thickened. Add cider vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Add chicken legs back to the pan and add in thyme. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes or an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached. Remove onto serving platter and pour glaze over top.

Serve with roasted baby potatoes and heirloom carrots.
