|1||(5.5 oz/156 g can) Maple Leaf® Flakes of Chicken (drained and flaked)|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) diced apple|
|.5 cup||(125 mL) shredded cheddar cheese|
|.25 cup||(50 mL) finely chopped celery|
|.25 cup||(50 mL) finely chopped walnuts|
|.25 cup||(50 mL) mayonnaise|
|1 tbsp||(15 mL) lemon juice|
|freshly ground pepper, to taste|
|8||slices Dempster's® WholeGrainsTM 12 Grain Bread|
COMBINE chicken with all the ingredients, except bread and lettuce, in a bowl and toss to coat evenly.
PLACE lettuce on 4 bread slices.
TOP each with ¼ of chicken mixture and remaining bread slices
