“TLT” Tilapia, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich

Ingredients

4 Tilapia fillets
2 tbsp (30 mL) Olive oil
2 tbsp (30 mL) Lemon juice
1 tbsp (15 mL) Cajun seasoning
8 Slices Villaggio® Original Thick Sliced Italian Style White Bread, lightly grilled
4 Leaves lettuce, shredded
1 Large tomato, sliced
Salt and pepper

Directions

WHISK together all ingredients for the remoulade sauce. Refrigerate until ready to use.

ARRANGE tilapia fillets in a 9 X 13” (3.5 L) baking pan. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice. Sprinkle both sides with Cajun seasoning. Let stand 10-15 minutes.

PREHEAT BBQ to Med High. Grease the grill very well to prevent fish from sticking. Cook fish for 2-3 minutes per side or until evenly char grilled and cooked through. The fish should flake apart easily when done.

ASSEMBLE sandwiches by spreading each slice of toast with remoulade sauce. Top 4 slices with a piece of tilapia, shredded lettuce and tomato slices. Season with Salt and pepper and finish sandwich with remaining toast.

Remoulade Sauce:
1 tbsp (15 mL) Sweet relish
½ cup (125 mL) Mayonnaise
Dash Hot sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) Horseradish
1 tbsp (15 mL) Ketchup
1 tsp (5mL) Lemon juice
